Fishing Report and New Website!

New site, fishing report and DVD!!!

This is the first official fishing report on my new website.  Most of you have seen my old site, www.tarponsnook.com .  It still is and always will be online.  I just wanted to start a new,Tarpon25 more modern version. Hopefully everyone likes this new site.  There will be a ton of changes in the coming weeks so stay tuned!

Jenni and I have been so busy I just realized I hadn’t updated my report in a while. The fishing over the last month and a 1/2 was nothing short of awesome. Our backcountry tarpon in October and earlier this month did not disappoint. We had some of the most exciting days of the whole season. A ton of fish feeding up for their fall migration back south for the winter.

The snook and redfish did not leave us hanging either. The only problem was getting through all of the redfish to get to the big snook…high class problem there… We had schools of reds like I haven’t seen in years. Waking the surface, pushing water like a moving school of tarpon. It was cool to get to fish them like that again. With the snook, the closure did them a lot of good. I just wish they would keep it closed. I like to eat snook as much as anybody, but I love catching big snook more. In my opinion you can’t have too many.

As usual I will be fishing throughout the winter here. There are always fish around here to get after.

We are really looking forward to spring and of course tarpon season.

Till next time, keep the line tight and bow when they jump.
